Spring, long awaited, is sending its first signs in Saskatchewan!
One season can sometimes seem so long, especially a barren and cold one like Winter….none the less spring does come and speaks of the faithfulness of God. We at SHOP are showing the first signs of a new season, building above a deep foundation. We also felt at times that the old season would never end but the goodness of the Lord has perfect timing.
Many times in these past two years we have inquired about an actual location for Saskatchewan House Of Prayer and the answer was always along these lines, “not now; wait; I will make it clear when it’s time; it’s not the time, etc….” In February there was a strong sense that “it is now the time” to start the procedure of acquiring a House. This home for SHOP is to be owned by the Church of Saskatchewan for it is a known that owning land gives a right and authority to voice legal decrees over the land in which we have ownership. Every believer will want to be a part owner of this Christian Embassy in the capital city of Saskatchewan.
Why does the Church need to own a Christian Embassy?
- Ownership of land gives legal authority to voice decrees over the land.
- Through a Christian Embassy there is a strong Christian presence.
- This is a sign to the world that the Christian community can come into agreement and unity by owning property together.
- Regina is the capital city, the seat of natural government.
- A house of prayer is a place where all Christians can come to seek the Lord, as individuals or as teams from various churches.
- This is a place where prayer teams can come from throughout Saskatchewan to meet their MLA’s, visit the legislature and seek the Lord in the provincial house of prayer.
- This is a central place where we minister to the Lord in praise, worship, adoration and prayer. Saskatchewan has modelled the first provincial house of prayer and as we take our place we can help and encourage other provinces.
Please pray as we continue to seek the Lord for the strategy of communicating this vision and of raising the funds needed. Inquire of the Lord as to how much of the House He would have you own by your financial contribution. SHOP is a registered charitable organization and all contributions are tax deductible. Whether contributing a brick or a whole room every believer can have a part in Saskatchewan House of Prayer. More details will follow. Again we ask that you would pray that we will hear clearly in order for “God to build His House”.
